Next limits...

Cho Oyu is considered to be the sixth highest mountain in the World. It is a part of Himalaya mountain chain and is located on the border of China and Nepal. This mountain was defeated first in 1954 by an Austrian expedition. This year, a Swiss mountaineer Ueli Steck was the first one to climb to the top. Also, this year an expedition lead by Juraj Rebro will attempt to do this. Juraj is an excellent parachute with some previous Himalaya experience, reaching the top of the Broad Peak (8051m) in the past.

Juraj´s mission will be definitely the hardest and the most dangerous within the group. Naturally, the expedition will try to reach to top without any extra oxygen reserves or carriers – which means they will be on their own. He is leaving at the end of August with his group to stay in the mountains in order to become acclimatized using some suitable climbing track. The nature in this area is hostile against any living organism and the ability to adapt means survival. Our goal is to get Juraj ready both physically and psychically for the challenge and to simulate the extreme conditions he is about to go through. He is already using kryo-therapy and classical methods of hardening, metabolic preparation including strict diet and high mountain environment simulation. As an important part of this preparation psychical well-being and resistance and discipline are crucial. In these areas, we find a great example in Juraj. We trust the weather stays fine during their mission; they will maintain their well-being and will share their great experience with us (with or without the Cho Oyu). For now, the 100% readiness is the main aim.
